Tied to space, enveloped

Surrounded in place, grounded.

We navigate through

With senses alert

Seeking, discovery, learned,

Touching life in touch.

Remember, familiar presence,

I’m here with you so near,

Oh near, reaching out so near,

Tender touch, intimate.

Making, shaping, all formed,

Fingers skilled, creating

Smooth rough rippled ribbed,

Setting texture intended.

Away away so far away,

Where we cannot reach,

Divorced with distance

Absent, secluded, remote.

Need for constant,

Air as breeze,

Sun warmed back,

Fingers brushed by fingers.

Emotional, eye to eye,

Grasp, clasp, holding hug

Feeling warmth radiate, comfort,

Evolved to touch be touched.
